IECEx Certified Equipment Scheme

Most national regulatory frameworks require that conformity assessment be conducted by independent, third-party inspection bodies. The IECEx Certification System offers a global framework for equipment in this field.

The IECEx scheme ensures products that are for use in potentially explosive atmospheres are compliant with the global range of IEC standards.

In case of satisfying result of all stages of the assessment with the requirements of IECEx 02 rules, an  IECEx Certificate of Conformity (IECEx CoC) can be issued.

Certificate of Conformity (IECEx CoC) issued by a Certification Body recognized by the IECEx as a ExCB (Ex Certification Body). Issue of certificate of conformity (CoC) is carried out on the basis:

• Assessment and test results of the samples confirming conformity with the IEC standards which apply to this equipment. These assessment and tests are carried out by a laboratory recognized by the IECEx as a ExTL (Ex Testing Laboratory).
• Results of the assessment and audit of the quality assurance system of the manufacturers carried out by ExCB. Audit confirms that the manufacturer manufactures product under a quality assurance system and that the IECEx certification scheme requirements, under the surveillance of ExCB, are satisfied.
• Surveillance of the quality assurance system of the manufacturers carried out by ExCB.

All rights and duties of client, including requirements, restriction or limitations on the use of the certification body’s name and on the ways of referring to the certification granted are placed in the signed agreement between parties.

 Certification 2014/34/EU - ATEX

 Regarding protective systems and equipment intended for use in explosive atmospheres,   the manufacturer is obliged to carry out the process of equipment conformity assessment.

A conformity assessment concerns the following groups of equipment on the basis of the below  modules:

Module A ‒ Internal production control

Module B ‒ EU-Type examination

Module C1 ‒ Conformity to Type based on internal production control and testing of products under supervision

Module F ‒ Conformity to Type based on product verification

Module G ‒ Conformity based on unit verification

The conformity assessment processes according to all the aforementioned modules are carried out by a team of high class specialists from throughout the world.

The presumption of conformity with the principal requirements of directives 2014/34/EU by conducting an assessment in line with harmonised standards or their parts to which references are published in the Official Journal of the European Union is confirmed by issuing a relevant certificate.

Voluntary certification

A voluntary conformity assessment includes among others an assessment of machines and equipment in terms of conformity with the principal requirements of directives within the scope not reserved for notified bodies.

We certify products not subject to obligatory certification as specified in the law, on the basis of harmonised standards, technical specifications or other legal acts indicated by a Customer.

Voluntary certification allows to enhance credibility and prestige of conducted activity, increase value and attractiveness of offered products and boost consumers’ trust to declared properties.

KCs - Korea Certification

The KCs certificate is mandatory for many products in Korea. With issued KCs certificate manufacturer can attach the KCs mark on product which prove high quality and safety standards of products.

We have very specialized knowledge in KCs. We have senior experts who have been responsible for a number of KCs certifications from KOSHA (Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency). KOSHA is a South Korean government agency and the main certification body of KCs. We can help with obtaining KCs certificate which allow manufacturers and importers to sell the products on the Korean market.

CCC - China Certification

The China Compulsory Certificate mark, commonly known as a CCC Mark, is a compulsory safety mark for many products imported, sold or used in the Chinese market.

Products which require certification may only be imported, sold and/or used in business activities in China, after a China Compulsory Certification has been obtained.

Manufacturers of products with a CCC obligation are required to apply for the CCC Certification with the responsible certification authority.
